# How do I create a group voicemail?

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** The function *Groups* is **only available to customers on sipgate classic** available. On sipgate neo, it is integrated in a different form.
{% endhint %}

As an administrator, you have the option to create a **voicemail** for each of your groups. Calls to the group’s phone number or extension then end up — if desired — in the so-called **voicemail** of the group. To set up the group voicemail, go to the corresponding [**group routing**](https://app.sipgate.com/groups). There, set up a **forwarding** to the voicemail, where you define under which conditions the voicemail should be active.

Once the voicemail is set up, you have the option to **upload a custom greeting** or record one. Alternatively, you can use the **standard greetings** from sipgate. All members of the group can view **transcripts** in the event list and listen to the recorded **messages** .

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/using-sipgate/voicemails-und-ivr/wie-lege-ich-eine-gruppen-voicemail-an.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
