# How do I create a group voicemail?

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** The function *Groups* is **available only to customers on sipgate classic** . On sipgate neo it is integrated in a different form.
{% endhint %}

As an administrator, you have the option to create a **answering machine** for each of your groups. Calls to the group’s phone number or extension then end up—if desired—on the so-called **voicemail** of the group. To set up the group voicemail, go to the corresponding [**group routing**](https://app.sipgate.com/groups). There, set up a **forwarding** to voicemail, where you specify under which conditions the voicemail should be active.

Once the voicemail is set up, you have the option to **upload an individual greeting** or record one. Alternatively, you can use sipgate’s **standard greetings** . All members of the group can use the event list to view **transcripts** and listen to the recorded **messages** .
