How do I choose or suppress the caller ID?
Choose or suppress the caller ID in sipgate – settings for outgoing calls.
You can set which caller ID number you want to transmit. By default, no caller ID number is set. You can set both your mobile number and a landline number or, for example, a number from your switchboard . This applies only to calls within Germany; abroad, your sipgate number will always be displayed.
As admin click in the account management on the user for whom you want to set the caller ID number. The routing will open, where you can click on the desired VoIP phone to caller ID number change or suppress it using the gear icon.
As user click under My Telephony on the menu item Navigation and select the desired device . You can also set the caller ID number here using the gear icon.

In the field displayed phone number you can set an already assigned number as the caller ID or Sender number suppress it. If you display the caller number by default, you can also suppress it later if needed for individual phone calls using the key combination *31# before the actual phone number.\

Your original incoming caller ID number is always visible to the police, emergency services, call centers, law enforcement authorities . The misuse of this service is punishable by law.
To transmit caller IDs not assigned to your account, a function called Clip no Screening is used. Since not all networks and providers support this, we cannot guarantee - especially for calls abroad - that the desired number will always be displayed to the recipient.
If an international phone number is set as the caller ID, calls or faxes to special numbers such as 0800 may be partly impossible. Some providers of special numbers only allow connections from German local and mobile numbers.
Important: The caller ID set here is not automatically transferred to the sipgate app. Here, as a user, you must set your caller ID.
