How do I set up an additional VoIP line?

Set up an additional VoIP line in sipgate – phones without user assignment for reception areas or conference rooms.

You have the option of setting up telephones without assigning them to a specific user. You can then assign the telephones to specific locations, for example. Please note that the VoIP additional line has no call log . Each VoIP additional line costs €4.95 per month.

Here's how:

In account management, go to the tile VoIP additional lines. Then click the button: + Add VoIP additional line.

Enter any name for the line and press Add device.

Now click the new line with the mouse and go to SIP account data. Here you will find the access data that you can enter into an existing VoIP phone.

If this newly created endpoint should be reachable inbound under a phone number, click under Routing on Add phone number. This means you have successfully created a VoIP line.

Use as an analog fax or video phone

If you want to use your additional line as an analog fax or video phone , please proceed as follows:

Click on settings. Move the slider at the menu item Use as analog fax machine or video phone on yes.
