# How can I block certain call destinations?

Block call destinations in sipgate – as an admin, block expensive international numbers or specific phone numbers.

Whether expensive international destinations or certain phone numbers – as an admin, you have the option to **Call destinations** block for yourself and your employees. To edit the call blocks, click in account management on the menu item **User**. This will take you to the [overview of your users. ](https://app.sipgate.com/users)Now select the team member for whom you want to block call destinations. On the left-hand side, click on **Permissions** and thus get to the **call blocks**.

By clicking the respective switch, you can now set up and manage the call blocks. Using the switches, you choose for which type of connections you want to **block** calls: international and premium-rate numbers, chargeable destinations, expensive international destinations, and mobile destinations with roaming outside the EU. After setup, it can take up to 15 minutes for the new settings to take effect.

#### International and premium-rate numbers

If, as an admin, you block these call destinations, users cannot call **premium-rate numbers** such as 01801, 01802, 01803, 01804, 01805, 01806, 01888, 0700, and 0800. In addition, **all** international connections are blocked. **Important:** In general, it is **not possible**to call the following premium-rate numbers from the sipgate network: 0137, 0138, 01212, 01807, 0185, 0181, 0188, 0900, and 118xx. So these call destinations do not need to be blocked separately.

#### Chargeable destinations

If chargeable destinations are blocked, users can only make internal calls and calls within an existing flat rate (Germany flat rate, mobile flat rate).

#### Expensive call destinations abroad

For newly created users, **expensive international call destinations** are blocked automatically. If blocked call destinations are dialed anyway, the following announcement is played: "Hello, for security reasons, some destinations abroad are blocked for your sipgate account. You will shortly receive a link that you can use to unblock the blocked destinations." At the same time, you as the admin will receive an email notification.

Since the list of blocked destinations is constantly updated, we cannot provide a complete list of the countries included. In general, these are countries that have previously stood out at sipgate as expensive call destinations.

In principle, the countries of the EU, the USA, as well as China **not** are among the expensive call destinations.

#### Roaming outside the EU (mobile)

Incoming and outgoing calls with a sipgate SIM card outside the EU are for users **blocked**because roaming charges apply.
