# How do conference calls work?

Multiple participants, simple dialing in and flexible phone number assignment – with the conference room you have the option of designing group calls flexibly.

The conference room has space for 25 participants and allows simple dialing in without entering a PIN. You can freely choose which of your local or international phone numbers should be linked to the conference room.

If you have booked the room for group calls, it can be reached worldwide from all devices and can already be used during the test phase. It is possible to book several conference rooms per account.

The **booking of the conference room** is only available as **admin** possible. You can cancel on a monthly basis.

#### **Secure conference calls**

The sipgate conference room requires **no PIN**. Nevertheless, you always have control over your conference calls. How does that work? At sipgate, not multiple accounts share the same conference room, because each conference room has its own phone number. The following features are available to you in the conferences:

* An acoustic signal letting you know when you are the first person in the room
* New participants are announced by a signal
* Any new phone number can be assigned to the conference room at any time
* If needed, the conference room can be switched on or off

#### **Start a three-way conference**

As is customary with a telephone switchboard, you can directly forward incoming calls **using a keyboard shortcut** to other employees or groups. The principle also applies to three-way conferences, where you can connect with two other participants **connect** .

For this, simply first call the **first conference participant** Then call the second conference participant via **Transfer** join them. To do this, simply enter **\*3** and the desired **destination phone number** or **extension** and confirm the action with **#.** Now simply **\*5** press to connect all conference participants together. Want to leave the conference? Then simply hang up.
