# How do I set up my eSIM/SIM card when changing devices?

Would you like to create a new eSIM profile or switch your eSIM/SIM? We will explain how to do it.

To set up your eSIM profile on a new device, you need to under **Telephony** select the card with your current device. Then click under **Connection to the device** on the **gear icon.**

At this point, you have the option to create the eSIM profile for your new device and delete your old profile.

This procedure is possible for the following connection changes:

SIM card ➔ eSIM

SIM card ➔ SIM card

eSIM ➔ eSIM

eSIM ➔ SIM card

If you have completed these steps, your new device should be displayed with your eSIM.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/using-sipgate/mobilfunk/wie-richte-ich-meine-esimsim-karte-bei-einem-geraetewechsel-ein.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
