# How do I book new data volume and data snacks?

#### **How do I book new data volume?**

As an administrator, you can book data volume individually for each user. To do this, as an admin go to the relevant user and click on the left on **Mobile options**. As a user, you also have the option to book data volume for yourself. With booked data volume, you browse with a download speed of up to 50 Mbit/s. The upload speed is up to 32 Mbit/s. Once your LTE data volume is used up, you can continue browsing free of charge, but at a throttled speed of up to 64 Kbit/s.

* **LTE data volume:** Either 6 GB, 20 GB, 75 GB, or 250 GB.

* **Term:** 1 month, cancellable monthly.
* **Upgrade and downgrade:** Upgrade at any time, downgrade possible at the end of the month.

#### **How is data volume calculated?**

At sipgate, chargeable offers such as data volume are always billed for the respective calendar month. If you book new data volume or switch to a higher data volume, it is calculated pro rata for the remaining time in the month. Cancellation is always possible flexibly at the end of the month. If your data volume is used up, there are no additional costs. After you have used up your LTE data volume, you can continue browsing free of charge, but at a throttled speed.

#### **Change data volume**

In your user account under **Mobile network** you can switch to a larger data volume at any time – regardless of whether your currently booked data volume is already used up or not.

#### **Book data snack by SMS**

If you do not need a permanent upgrade, you can book so-called **data snacks** add them to your existing volume. As soon as 80% of your data volume has been used, you will receive a notification from us by SMS and email.

You can top up 500 MB for €4.95. Simply send an SMS to the number "+495555" with the text "500". You can book this option as often as you like. It is not automatically renewed.

#### **Book data snack in the user account**

Booking data snacks is also possible in your user account. You can also find the relevant settings in the left-hand area under **Mobile network**. Here you can select the desired data snack. Admins have the option of booking data snacks for all users. In addition, users have the option of booking data snacks for their personal account. The booked volume is available to you immediately and is valid until the end of the month.

#### **Setting up automatic data top-up**

Activating automatic data top-up is possible in your user account. When the booked data volume has been completely used up, a data snack is automatically rebooked. How to set up this function can be found in the article [set up automatic data top-up](https://help.sipgate.de/hc/de/articles/4425122448017-Automatische-Datenbuchung-einrichten) .

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/using-sipgate/mobilfunk/wie-buche-ich-neues-datenvolumen-und-datensnacks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
