# How do I book new data volume and data snacks?

Book data volume and data snacks for sipgate mobile services – manage as admin or user in the account.

#### **How do I book new data volume?**

As an administrator, you can book data volume separately for each user. To do this, go to the corresponding user as an admin and click on **mobile options**. As a user, you also have the option to book data volume for yourself. With booked data volume, you browse at a download speed of up to 100 Mbit/s. The upload speed is up to 32 Mbit/s. If your LTE data volume is used up, you can continue browsing for free, but at a throttled speed of up to max. 64 Kbit/s.

* **LTE data volume:** Either 6 GB, 20 GB, 75 GB, or 250 GB.

* **Term:** 1 month, cancellable monthly.
* **Upgrade and downgrade:** Upgrade possible at any time, downgrade possible at the end of the month.

#### **How is data volume calculated?**

At sipgate, chargeable offers such as data volume are always billed for the respective calendar month. If you book new data volume or switch to a higher data volume, it is charged proportionally for the remaining time of the month. Cancellation is always flexibly possible at the end of the month. If your data volume is used up, there are no additional costs. After you have used up your LTE data volume, you can continue browsing for free, but at a reduced speed.

#### **Change data volume**

In your user account under **Mobile network** you can switch to a larger data volume at any time - regardless of whether your currently booked data volume has already been used up or not.

#### **Book data snack by SMS**

If you do not need a permanent upgrade, you can add so-called **data snacks** to your existing volume. As soon as 80% of your data volume has been used, you will receive a notification from us by SMS and email.

You can top up 500 MB for €4.95. Simply send an SMS to the number "+495555" with the text "500". You can book this option as often as you like. It will not be renewed automatically.

#### **Book data snack in the user account**

Booking data snacks is also possible in your user account. You will find the relevant settings in the left area under **Mobile network**. Here you can select the desired data snack. Admins have the option to book data snacks for all users. In addition, users have the option to book data snacks for their personal account. The booked volume is available to you immediately and is valid until the end of the month.

#### **Set up automatic data booking**

Activation of automatic data booking is possible in your user account. When the booked data volume is completely used up, a data snack is automatically added. You can find out how to set up this function in the article [set up automatic data booking](https://help.sipgate.de/hc/de/articles/4425122448017-Automatische-Datenbuchung-einrichten) read more.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/using-sipgate/mobilfunk/wie-buche-ich-neues-datenvolumen-und-datensnacks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
