# Can I also use sipgate mobile service abroad?

With a SIM card or eSIM from sipgate, you can also make calls, send and receive SMS, and use your mobile data abroad. As a rule, when switching to an international mobile network, you should be automatically connected to the best available network. If this is not the case, or if there are disruptions or outages in the network you are automatically connected to, please disable automatic network search and manually select one of the available mobile networks. Please note that sipgate has no influence on network coverage or quality abroad.

To use mobile data abroad, you must configure your APN correctly. You can find detailed instructions in the corresponding [Help Center article](https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/sipgate-nutzen/mobilfunk/wie-richte-ich-den-internetzugang-auf-meinem-mobilen-endgeraet-ein).

You can find a list of the available international providers [here](https://www.sipgate.de/roaming).

**Important**: sipgate does not guarantee the completeness or timeliness of the list

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/using-sipgate/mobilfunk/kann-ich-den-mobilfunk-von-sipgate-auch-im-ausland-nutzen.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
