  • Yes, in the sipgate mobile network you browse at LTE high speed.

Do I incur additional costs when using LTE?
  • When using LTE, no additional costs are incurred compared to using 3G or 2G.

How fast is browsing in the LTE network?
  • In the sipgate LTE network, you browse with a download speed of up to 50 Mbit/s and an upload speed of up to 32 Mbit/s.

What do I need to do to be able to use LTE with my smartphone?
  • To be able to use LTE with your smartphone, please activate the LTE function: Android: Settings ➔ Wireless & Network ➔ Mobile networks ➔ Preferred network type ➔ LTE Apple / iPhone: Settings ➔ Cellular ➔ Data options ➔ Voice & Data ➔ LTE

What happens if there is no LTE antenna in my area?
  • Your smartphone always connects automatically to the best available network. This means that if LTE is not available, your smartphone automatically logs into the 3G or 2G network. The 3G standard has been discontinued in Germany, so all mobile devices that are not LTE-capable automatically connect to the slower 2G network. It is possible that 3G is still available abroad.

When will 5G with higher bandwidths be available?
  • sipgate offers 5G. We have concluded an agreement with Telefonica and are thus officially enabling 5G for our customers.
