# How do I start a call in the sipgate app?

**Start call**

To start an outgoing call from the sipgate app, click the green handset at the top left.

**Select contact**

Then you can either search for an existing contact there or enter a phone number.

**Set up call**

After you have found the contact, or entered the phone number in full, click the handset next to the phone number. The call will then be set up.
