# How can I create system logs in the sipgate app?

If errors occur that cannot be explained immediately, we may ask you to send us the log data from your sipgate app. But where can you find the log data? - It is very easy and only takes a few steps.

* Open the sipgate app.
* In the Apple menu bar, select **Help ➔ Export logs**.

* Save the ZIP file and attach it to your email to us as an attachment.

  **Finder** open and click Macintosh HD ➔ Users>your own user account\
  The Library folder is hidden by default. With the key combination **CMD+Shift+.** it becomes visible.\
  Open Library ➔ Logs ➔ sipgate-desktop\
  send main.log, renderern.log and renderer\_old.log by email

**In the sipgate app**

* Open the sipgate app.
* In the app, select the three-dot menu "..." **Help ➔ Export logs.**
* Save the ZIP file and attach it to your email to us as an attachment.

**Copy files from the hard drive**

* Open the file explorer
* paste the following address into the file explorer: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\sipgate-desktop\logs
* then send the main.log/renderer.log from the Logs folder

If you use the **sipgate app in the browser** you can only send the system logs via the feedback form. You can find this by clicking on your user and then on Feedback.
