# What can I do if my phone number cannot be reached?

Your sipgate phone number is reachable when your **device is online** or the **voicemail is activated** is. If neither is the case, callers will receive the error message **The person you are trying to reach is currently unavailable.**\\

**Important:** After registering with sipgate, it may take a few minutes before your phone number can be reached.
