# What can I do if my phone number is unreachable?

Your sipgate phone number is reachable when your **device is online** or **voicemail is activated** . If neither is the case, callers receive the error message **The desired party is currently unavailable.**\\

**Important:** After registering with sipgate, it may take a few minutes until your phone number is reachable.
