What can I do if the area code is automatically dialed?
How to disable automatic area code dialing in the FRITZ!Box so that internal sipgate extensions are dialed correctly.
When calling internal extensions, it can often happen that they are dialed with an automatically inserted prefix and therefore no connection is established to the desired destination. When using a AVM FRITZ!Box this automatic prefix can be deactivated with just a few clicks.
To do this, under the menu item Telephony under Own phone numbers the stored sipgate phone number must be edited. After the sipgate number has been opened for editing, first the telephony provider at the top must be changed from sipgate to Other providers which opens up additional configuration options.
In the section Phone number format it can now be selected whether a country or area code should be dialed as well. Here, simply select the setting None and then save by clicking on OK.
