How do I configure the BLF function for Gigaset?

These instructions apply to Gigaset phones of the Maxwell 10 type. Learn how to configure the BLF function.

This guide applies to Gigaset phones of the Maxwell 10 type.

Please note that this function is only available if you have booked the plan sipgate business L or XL booked.

In order to use the full functionality of your sipgate account on your Gigaset Pro device, please make sure that at least firmware version 02.00.04 is installed. You are best off performing a firmware update directly via the following menu items on the phone: SETTINGS ➔ SYSTEM ➔ FIRMWARE UPDATE. You can also view the currently installed firmware version directly on the device via the following menu items: STATUS ➔ DEVICE.

Display the phone's IP address

Please make sure that DHCP is enabled in the router. On most routers, DHCP is enabled by default. Then connect the Gigaset Maxwell 10 to your router. The phone will automatically be assigned an IP address by the router. Open on the phone settings ➔ Wireless & Networks ➔ Ethernet configuration.

The current IP address is displayed. If 0.0.0.0 is displayed, please check point 1 and restart the router and phone. If the IP address is, for example, "192.168.001.100", enter it in your browser without leading zeros: "http://192.168.1.100". You will now be taken to the web configuration menu of the Maxwell 10.

Create user for BLF:

Using the web configuration menu of the Gigaset Maxwell 10, switch to the tab settings, then via the menu on the left to the section Function keys. Under the item Programmable Keys you can now enter the data as shown below. Before that, you can create them via the button add create. You can then simply program the programmable keys (PK1 to PK14) via the button Edit edit.

In the field Function select BLF from. In the field Connection name then select your own sipgate account. Enter in the field Name the name of the user. In the field a phone number write the employee's internal extension. So enter e.g. 42 to see the status of the user with extension 42. In the field Call pickup code enter *9 so that you can also use the pickup function via the programmable keys. Confirm your entries by clicking on Save.
