# How do I register my company with sipgate?

#### **Business forms** and the corresponding **proof documents**:

As a rule, we can verify you during a new registration based on an existing legal notice on a website or through a current entry in the commercial register. Occasionally, however, it may be necessary for us to request additional proof from you. These may include the following documents:

* GmbH, AG, KG, EK, UG: *Excerpt from the commercial register*
* Ltd./foreign companies with a German business address: *Proof from the tax office showing the founding of the Ltd. or an excerpt from the commercial register*
* Partnerships (law firms, architecture firms): *Partnership register*
* GbR: *Partnership agreement or guild certificate, proof from the Chamber of Crafts, business registration*
* Associations: *Association register*
* Sole proprietorships: *ID card and trade license*
* Freelancers: *ID card and proof from the tax office / reply letter from your tax office showing the registration and assignment of the VAT number*
* Medical practices: *Entry with the Medical Association or certificate from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.*
* Law firms: *Entry with the Bar Association*
* Agricultural and forestry businesses: *Entry with the Chamber of Agriculture*
* eG: Excerpt from the cooperative register

Once the submitted proof document has been reviewed by us, you can [store locations for the account](https://help.sipgate.de/hc/de/articles/360019995317-Wie-verifiziere-ich-meinen-Unternehmensstandort-bei-sipgate) and set up your account.
