# How do I register my company with sipgate?

Find out which supporting documents you need to register your company with sipgate – depending on the legal form of your business.

#### **Company forms** and the corresponding **supporting documents**:

As a rule, we can verify you when you register for the first time based on an existing legal notice on a website or by means of a current entry in the commercial register. However, it may occasionally be necessary for us to request additional proof from you. This may include the following documents:

* GmbH, AG, KG, EK, UG: *extract from the commercial register*
* Ltd./foreign companies with German registered office: *Proof from the tax office showing the formation of the Ltd. or extract from the commercial register*
* Partnerships (law firms, architectural offices): *partnership register*
* GbR: *partnership agreement or guild certificate, proof from the Chamber of Crafts, business registration*
* Associations: *register of associations*
* Sole proprietorships: *ID card and trade license*
* Freelancers: *ID card and proof from the tax office / response letter from your tax office showing the registration and the assignment of the VAT number*
* Medical practices: *Entry with the Medical Association or certificate from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.*
* Law firms: *Entry with the Bar Association*
* Agricultural and forestry businesses: *Entry with the Chamber of Agriculture*
* eG: extract from the cooperative register
