As a rule, we can verify you when you register for the first time based on an existing legal notice on a website or by means of a current entry in the commercial register. However, it may occasionally be necessary for us to request additional proof from you. This may include the following documents:

• GmbH, AG, KG, EK, UG: extract from the commercial register

• Ltd./foreign companies with German registered office: Proof from the tax office showing the formation of the Ltd. or extract from the commercial register

• Partnerships (law firms, architectural offices): partnership register

• GbR: partnership agreement or guild certificate, proof from the Chamber of Crafts, business registration

• Associations: register of associations

• Sole proprietorships: ID card and trade license

• Freelancers: ID card and proof from the tax office / response letter from your tax office showing the registration and the assignment of the VAT number

• Medical practices: Entry with the Medical Association or certificate from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

• Law firms: Entry with the Bar Association

• Agricultural and forestry businesses: Entry with the Chamber of Agriculture

• eG: extract from the cooperative register
