Find out which proof documents you need to register your company with sipgate – depending on the type of business.
As a rule, we can verify you during a new registration based on an existing legal notice on a website or through a current entry in the commercial register. Occasionally, however, it may be necessary for us to request additional proof from you. These may include the following documents:
GmbH, AG, KG, EK, UG: Excerpt from the commercial register
Ltd./foreign companies with a German business address: Proof from the tax office showing the founding of the Ltd. or an excerpt from the commercial register
Partnerships (law firms, architecture firms): Partnership register
GbR: Partnership agreement or guild certificate, proof from the Chamber of Crafts, business registration
Associations: Association register
Sole proprietorships: ID card and trade license
Freelancers: ID card and proof from the tax office / reply letter from your tax office showing the registration and assignment of the VAT number
Medical practices: Entry with the Medical Association or certificate from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.
Law firms: Entry with the Bar Association
Agricultural and forestry businesses: Entry with the Chamber of Agriculture
eG: Excerpt from the cooperative register
Once the submitted proof document has been reviewed by us, you can store locations for the account and set up your account.
