# Lexoffice integration

Lexoffice is suitable for companies of all industries, sizes and legal forms. The core of Lexoffice is intelligent document management. The more receipts a company processes, the greater the time savings. With sipgate you can make calls directly in Lexoffice and use your contacts in the sipgate app. This way you always see who is calling and do not have to switch between different tools. sipgate is your phone system with the telephony app for desktop and mobile.

## **Integration of Lexoffice in the sipgate app:**

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Select integration**

In the sipgate app, click the gear icon on the left and select the "Integrations" item.

Under the "Integrations" section, look for the "Lexoffice" entry and click the "Connect with Lexoffice" button. ![lexoffice.png](/files/fd626b4e52c595f82dcc19563e039bb98929c819)

This means you have successfully connected Lexoffice and the sipgate app.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: Depending on the number of contacts to be integrated, it may take a few minutes until they are fully displayed.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

**Find or create an API key in your Lexoffice account:**

Generate an API key via this link, which is still hidden during the pilot phase: <https://app.lexoffice.de/settings/#/public-api>

One API key can be created per user. The key will be shown to you once in the next step. Public API is only available from **XL plan** available.

## **How can Click2Dial be performed with phone numbers in the sipgate app?**

* Open the customer manager in Lexoffice, select a contact, and click the contact's phone number.
* A prompt appears in the web browser asking whether the phone number should be opened via an application.
* If the sipgate app is already your preferred application, simply click **Open sipgate app**. This will open the sipgate app and dial the phone number.
* If you do not want to confirm the selection every time, you can enable the option in Google Chrome **Always allow links of this type to be opened in the associated app** This will immediately open the sipgate app when you click on a phone number.
* In Windows, if a different app than the sipgate app is suggested, go to **Windows ➔ Default apps ➔ Choose defaults by link type** and set **Tel: sipgate app** as the default.
* On a Mac device, go to **FaceTime ➔ Settings ➔ General ➔ Default for calls** and set sipgate app as the default.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/connections-and-integrations/integrationen-fur-die-sipgate-app/lexoffice-integration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
