# How can I change my tariff plan?

You can switch to another contract at any time. You can upgrade or downgrade your contract (e.g. from S or L to XL and vice versa). You can use the contract you have changed immediately. You only pay a prorated amount for the current month.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: Billing is prorated. No refund will be issued for amounts already paid – therefore, we recommend changing your plan ideally at the end or beginning of the month.
{% endhint %}

#### **Here's how:**

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Open plan**

As an admin, click in the left start menu on **Management** and then in the menu on **Plan**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Select plan**

Here you will reach an overview page where you can see your current plan and the alternative plans in detail. With a click on the desired plan, you can book the new plan.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/account-management/vertrage-rechnungen-und-preise/wie-kann-ich-meinen-tarif-wechseln.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
