# How do I change my contract details?

#### **Change of contracting party**

You have the option of transferring an existing sipgate account to new contracting parties. The existing terms remain unchanged. The new contracting parties can then terminate or modify this contract individually in accordance with our [Terms and Conditions](https://www.sipgate.de/agb-sipgate) The phone numbers will also remain with the account and will be taken over in accordance with **transfer declaration** taken over. Partial or complete porting by the transferring contracting parties is not possible. Phone numbers cannot be taken over on their own either; they are firmly linked to the associated contract. Phone numbers from area codes not covered by the locations of the new contracting parties will be released from the customer account on the date of the transfer of access and, after the period imposed by the Federal Network Agency, will be made available again.

For a **Change of contracting party** please fill out the [form provided here](https://static.sipgate.com/static/downloads/docs/Vertragsdatenaenderung.pdf) and send it together with the requested documents/evidence by email to <vertraege@support.sipgate.de> or by fax to 0211-58005400. Alternatively, you can also send the form by post to sipgate GmbH, Customer Service, Gladbacher Str. 74, 40219 Düsseldorf.

As soon as we have received and processed your request, we will inform you by email. We recommend that you log in to your sipgate account and change your user data yourself.

#### **Verify location address**

For address verification of the new locations, the new contracting party attaches current **documents** that provide evidence of legitimacy (e.g. **business registration, extract from the commercial register, electricity, water or gas bill**). Rental agreements are only accepted in the case of a **location change by private customers** accepted.

#### **Change users**

The users of the transferring account holder are not automatically deleted by us. The transferring account holder can delete all users before the account is transferred. Only one admin access must remain. The new account holders can then create their users. In this step, we also recommend that **all passwords are changed**. Alternatively, the new account holders can delete the users no longer needed and create new ones, if that is desired at all.

#### **Change billing address**

In the **account management** left **Account** and then **Management** from. Then switch to the menu item **Invoices** and change the billing address there as desired. Afterwards, you can in the section **Invoices,** have any invoice created so far from the last 12 months reissued with the new billing address. To do this, click the circular icon behind the respective invoice. You will then receive a cancellation invoice as well as a newly issued invoice with the updated billing details, which you can download.

#### **Change locations**

In the overview, go to the menu item [**Locations**](https://app.sipgate.com/team/settings/location). There you can use the button **Add** to create a new location or use the three dots next to your current location to request a move to a new location. You can also edit an existing phone directory listing here. It is advisable to first delete an existing phone directory listing completely and only make the new entry after one week, due to data matching with the relevant parties.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.sipgate.de/cloud-telefonanlage/en/account-management/vertrage-rechnungen-und-preise/wie-aendere-ich-meine-vertragsdaten.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
